A generation that is fading away and regrettably will never come back regardless of our efforts.

We belong to a generation that will never return.
A generation that commuted to school on foot and subsequently returned home on foot.
A generation who completed their schoolwork independently in order to quickly go outside and play in the street.
A generation that dedicated all their leisure time outside with their companions.
A generation that played hide & seek after sunset.
A generation that created mud cakes.

A generation that gathered sports cards.
A generation that discovered, gathered, cleaned, and gave back vacant Coke bottles to the nearby supermarket for a nickel apiece, then used the money to purchase a Mountain Dew and a candy bar.
A generation that crafted paper toys using just their hands.
A generation that purchased vinyl music to listen to on record players.
A generation that felt that holding hands and engaging in a slow dance held significance.
A generation that gathered photographs and books of cuttings from their life experiences as children.
A generation that engaged in playing board games and card games during inclement weather.
A generation whose television turned off at midnight after playing the National Anthem.
A generation that has parents that were present.
A generation that attended church and attempted to suppress unrestrained laughter, fearing the consequences they would face at home if detected.
A generation that chuckled beneath the covers in bed to avoid alerting our parents of our wakefulness.
A generation that is fading away and regrettably will never come back regardless of our efforts.
I really enjoyed my childhood. It was a wonderful period and there was a lot of purity in the genuine love between a girl and guy.
