A six-year-old kid bids his younger sister a final good night.

A 6-year-old boy’s nighttime goodbye to his younger sister was recorded on video and is tearing people’s hearts all over the world.

The photo was taken by Matt Sooter of Arkansas, whose 4-year-old daughter Adalynn “Addy” was identified as having a rare type of cancer.

In Matt’s opinion, a young child shouldn’t have to say goodbye to his playmate, closest friend, and younger sister.

The terrible photograph elicited responses from over 8,000 people. The parents are currently attempting to spread awareness about this unusual disease.

When the Sooter family learned that their daughter had diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a rare tumor with a brainstem origin, in November 2016, their world was flipped upside down.

Addy would have to endure the tumor’s growth for the ensuing 18 months before her symptoms worsened.

Matt described the rapid demise of his daughter, 4, in a Facebook post. She is four years old.

“Over the past day and a half, Addy’s symptoms have quickly gotten worse. She was her vibrant, happy self when she awoke yesterday. Although we still see our baby occasionally, she is no longer able to feed or swallow without assistance, and now spends most of her time sleeping, so we have admitted her to inpatient care. I seriously doubt she has much longer,” he posted on Facebook.

He invited any friends and relatives who wanted to say their final farewell to his darling daughter to get in touch with them in a very terrible and devastating statement.

Matt asks followers to pray for the sister as Jackson, the sister’s older brother, avoided leaving her side.

Before his younger sister left, Jackson gave her a goodnight kiss and told her he loved her.

A few hours later, the family posted on the Facebook page Hope for Addy Joy – Fighting DIPG that their daughter had passed away.

She died in the same manner that she had lived: resolutely, peacefully, and with her loved ones by her side. At the conclusion, it said she wasn’t in pain.

Though this is only a temporary farewell, our baby girl will be terribly missed.

In order to “avoid future kids from a similar fate,” Addy’s brain and spinal tumors were donated to science.

They explained their decision in a Facebook post, saying that it was made because “our sweet girl loved helping people and giving gifts, so we thought this would be an excellent way to show her giving heart.”

It’s extremely heartbreaking when children are involved because we all know someone who has been afflicted by this terrible illness.

Be at ease, sweet Addy the angel.
