This Monday, the police said that human remains from a mother who vanished in Arkansas 23 years ago together with her kid had been discovered in her car.
According to a statement from the Pope County Sheriff’s Office, Samantha Jean Hopper’s automobile was discovered under eight feet of water on Tuesday by Adventures With Purpose, a nonprofit organization that works to solve unresolved cold cases around the nation.
Samantha was traveling to Little Rock to pick up her daughter Courtney Holt before attending a play, according to a sheriff’s office statement. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to locate Samantha, her child, or her blue Ford Tempo.
The automobile was discovered eight feet below the surface by a bunch of decent individuals. According to the police, DNA testing will be done on the body pieces found in the automobile at the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock.
The Pope County Sheriff’s Office apologized to the families of Samantha Hopper and Courtney Holt. They were also appreciated for their assistance in cracking the 23-year-old case.
On a tribute website, Hopper’s daughter Dezarea Hopper stated that her mother was nine months pregnant at the time of her death. At the time, Dezarea’s child was around two years old. According to Dezarea, discovering their bodies was “relieving.”
In a statement, Adventures With Purpose announced that Samantha and her daughter had returned home.
