It is proper to congratulate Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald on their impending arrival of their seventh child. On Saturday, September 9, the couple announced their pregnancy via an Instagram Story and a subsequent YouTube video that featured further details about the fetus.
Jessa captioned the picture, “After a heartbreaking loss last year, we are so grateful God has blessed us with a rainbow baby,” alluding to the miscarriage she experienced over the holiday season the year before. The family already includes daughters Ivy, 3, and Fern, 18 months, as well as sons Spurgeon, 7, and Henry, 6.
They just learned about the pregnancy one week ago, according to Jessa, so they have a long path ahead of them. The due date is sometime around 2024. The YouTube video began with a glimpse of a positive pregnancy test sitting on the couple’s bathroom counter. We wish Ben, Jessa, and their family the very best.
Jessa Duggar immediately confirmed that she had miscarried at just 11 weeks when she first revealed in February 2023 that she was carrying baby No. 5. She commented, “Nothing could have prepared me for the weight of those words in that time when we found out about the heartbreaking loss.
On a YouTube video at the time, she explained how her morning sickness had been “amplified” and that she had been “spotting” (bleeding) a little bit before to the miscarriage. During one of her ultrasound appointments, the doctor broke the terrible news, leaving Jessa and Ben feeling powerless.
The couple’s previous miscarriage only exacerbated the couple’s sadness harder. In 2020, they had their first miscarriage, but by that time, Spurgeon, Henry, and Ivy had already been born. They considered adopting or fostering a child to save themselves any further heartache following the miscarriage, but ultimately opted against it.
Instead, they ended up having a child once more in 2021 when they had daughter Fern Elliana, their fourth child together, in July. And although though their attempts to have a fifth child were put on pause by their second miscarriage, it appears that they are finally on track and anxious to have yet another rainbow baby.
The couple’s pregnancy was unquestionably the main topic of their most recent YouTube video, but it wasn’t the only thing they discussed with their audience. The video, titled “A Baby on the Way & Romantic Getaway!”, showed the couple enjoying a romantic getaway earlier this year without their kids.
Despite the fact that they haven’t had much opportunity to travel during the last seven years due to having four children during that period, the couple decided to send the kids off to “Granny’s house” so they may enjoy a much-needed vacation. The greatest and most peaceful place to be is on the beach.
The movie was little over 26 minutes long and included a montage of all the incredible meals, sights, sounds, and activities they engaged in while abroad. Additionally, it contained pictures and videos that they had received from their mother showing how well-behaved and happy their children were while they were traveling.
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald initially met in April 2013, when they were both 20 years old and attending church. He made friends with two of her brothers, and they eventually started dating. They got engaged on August 4, 2014, were married on November 1, 2014, and have been a happy couple ever since.
