The SOAP character Jennifer Leak passed away at the age of 76 following a protracted illness related to her nervous system.
Wales is her native nation, where she was born. She has appeared in Yours, Mine, and Ours as well as The Young and the Restless.
Her ex-husband and former co-star Tim Matheson confirmed the terrible news in a touching tribute.

The Virgin River actress added, “I share the news of Jennifer Leak’s passing with heavy heart.”
Not just as my film sister in “Yours, Mine, and Ours,” but also as my first wife, I adored her.
Jennifer was a stunning, powerful, and extremely talented lady. My sincere sympathies are sent to her 47-year husband James D’Auria and all of their numerous acquaintances.
After a protracted fight with progressive supranuclear palsy, a rare neurological condition, the actress passed away at her home in Florida.
It is difficult to walk, maintain balance, move your eyes, and swallow due to the brain condition.

Brave Jennifer has participated in several research aimed at combating the illness.
Although she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career, she was born in Cardiff.
Hers, Mine, and Ours, in which Lucille Ball played her daughter, was the first film in which she appeared.
After that, the celebrity starred in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Hawaii Five-0, and Nero Wolfe.
In 1971, she made her debut in the soap opera Bright Promise. She went on to star in Guiding Light, Another World, One Life to Live, and The Young and the Restless after that.

She divorced Tim, the popular cast member of “The West Wing,” in 1971. She wed James D’Auria six years later.
In 1992, Jennifer gave up acting and began working as a sales representative for a real estate firm.
