The adored mother of Alan Jackson, Ruth Jackson, passed away in her Newnan, Georgia, residence. She has spent 86 years on earth.
Alan Jackson sent a message on Ruth’s departure on his social media accounts. As the source of some of her fans’ favorite songs, Mrs. Jackson “became a famous part of son Alan Jackson’s career and life narrative,” according to the statement. In remembrance of Alan and in response to Ruth’s passing, the proclamation was made.
On January 12, 2017, just a few days later, Mama Ruth died away and was buried.
About Mama Ruth’s funeral, The Newnan Times-Herald wrote and published an article. From Alan and his brothers’ perspectives, it went into great detail about their mother’s life and death.
After Alan’s father Joseph Eugene passed away 17 years ago, he created a song in memory of him that would one day become known as “Drive (For Daddy Gene).” As a result, Alan wrote a song in memory of his mother the day before her burial services.
This song’s title, Where Her Heart Has Always Been, purportedly appeared in the Newnan Times-Herald. According to the magazine, Alan described performing the song during his mother’s funeral as being his “toughest gig yet.”
Despite the fact that Ruth’s death occurred four years ago, Alan is just now making “Where Her Heart Has Always Been” available to the wider public. His next “Where Have You Gone?” CD will include this tune.
When Alan sings about the day his mother passed away, one of the lyrics he uses is, “A sweet sound was saying low “It’s time to depart.” In the chorus, he talks of his mother ascending to heaven and uses language like:
When she reunites with her true love, she is currently dancing in the breeze. She will always stay where her heart has left her.
Everyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, but especially a parent, will be able to relate to the depressing song. You can hear it in the audio clip down below.
Every note in the song conveys Alan’s audible suffering. He is undeniably and inexcusably missing his mother.
