In 2013, when Firerose was auditioning for a role on Hannah Montana, the two of them were already friends. The country singer vividly recalled their initial encounter.

He reflected and replied, “There were a few aged pine trees on the property that brought to mind Tennessee.” Tex, my canine companion, and I would venture outside during the midday hours, and he would engage in his usual activities. We would stretch, and I would reflect on how much I longed for Tennessee. On that specific day, Firerose came out of the front entrance. There was nearly a moment of, I’m not sure, acknowledgment. “I will introduce you to a producer, and you can feel comfortable and observe our rehearsals. It could potentially lead to a role or simply establish another connection at Disney.” And, therefore, the three of us, Tex, her, and I, returned to the studio. And I believe she encountered many of the actors and had the opportunity to meet the producers and authors. And, in certain respects, well, in many respects, we became friends,” the singer confessed.

Prior to Cyrus expressing his desire for a deeper relationship with Firerose during their separation in early last year, they were only acquaintances. In August 2022, shortly after Cyrus proposed, she relocated to his place.

Billy gazed at me and asked, ‘Would you like to marry me?’ And I was thinking, ‘Certainly I do.’ I have strong affection for you,” Firerose remembered the moment. “He expressed his love for you.” I would like to formalize this. I want to stay with you forever.”

A couple of months after his former wife Tish remarried, Billy Ray tied the knot with Firerose. Firerose married Dominic Purcell, who is known for his role in “Prison Break,” in August 2023.
