Elizabeth Hubbard passed away at the age of 89.
On Monday morning, her son posted on Facebook that she had passed away. “With a broken heart, I’m sorry to say that my mother passed away over the weekend,” Jeremy Bennett posted beneath a photo of Hubbard.
He expressed gratitude by saying, “Thank you for being a rock that helped me through life. “I sincerely and lovingly commit to spend the rest of my life attempting to honor your memory. Jeremy”
There was no mention of an immediate cause of death.
Following Hubbard’s passing, TV personality Martha Byrne paid tribute to her mother on Instagram. “As many of you are learning this morning, Elizabeth Hubbard died. First and foremost, I want everyone to know that I made sure she was aware of how much everyone adored her. “Every time I met her, I would share your social media comments, videos, and happy memories of her as Lucinda, Althea,” Byrne says of Hubbard’s work on As the World Turns.
She meant so much to me personally that I am at a loss for words. She relished the audience and fought bravely to infuse honesty and reality into her performances. Simply sensations, which frequently take precedence over terms related to love, she added. Here are the words we uttered last, just a few days ago. So that we may all grieve together, I’ll share more. Do you realize everything Liz has done for me? I inquired. You’re capable of more, she said. She is correct; I CAN AND WILL DO MORE because of everything Mom has done for me over the past 38 years and the courage and fearlessness with which she has lived her life.
She has so much more going on in her life than just her AMAZING daytime television job, and I can’t wait to tell you more about it, added Byrne. When I told her how much her admirers adored her, she responded, “I attempted,” adding. She offered everything she had. She didn’t remove any content off the screen. Every day I’ll miss her, but I’m grateful that the universe has given me this one-of-a-kind natural force that no one else will ever know.
