Guitar legend Slash is broke following the death of his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight.
The 58-year-old vocalist of Guns N’ Roses shared the tragic news about his family in a brief Instagram post that he made overnight.
On December 6, 1998, Lucy-Bleu Knight was born along with her sister Scarlet Knight and stepsisters London and Cash Hudson. She was the stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, and the adored daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight. On July 19, 2024, she passed away quietly in Los Angeles, California.
“Lucy-Bleu was a lovely, sweet person, a passionate dreamer, and a beautifully talented artist.”
“As they grieve and process this tragic loss, the family asks for privacy at this time and asks that social media speculation be kept to a minimum.”
The celebrity’s friends and admirers expressed their tributes in the comments.
Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet commented, “My heart hurts for you guys.”
I’m currently sending my regards to your family.
Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea remarked, “Oh man, god bless.”
I love all of you so much. Words cannot describe our greatest regret and condolences, said Susan, the wife of Slash’s GnR bandmate, Duff McKagan.
Lucy reportedly worked for the renowned recording studio’s talent division, Electric Lady Management. On Instagram, she has more than 35,000 followers.
During the height of Guns’ popularity in the late 1980s, Slash first dated Lucy’s mother Meegan. However, it wasn’t until 2015—three years prior to his divorcing Perla—that they reconciled.
Just hours before he made the statement regarding Lucy, Slash canceled four shows of his solo S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Tour due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
This week’s gig schedule in Ontario, Michigan, and Ohio was completely screwed up.
The post stated, “On July 28, 2024, in Toronto, at Budweiser Stage, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour will resume.”
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience this has caused; we love our fans.”
His iconic top hat and strong guitar solos have made him one of the most recognizable rock stars.
He left Guns in the early nineties due to a variety of issues, including leader Axl Rose’s habit of being late for shows.
Then, in the early 2000s, he joined forces with Matt Sorum, McKagan, Dave Kushner from Wasted Youth, and Scott Weiland—the late lead vocalist of Stone Temple Pilots—to form Velvet Revolver.
2015 saw Weiland pass away from an unintentional drug overdose. Their previous releases were two albums.
In addition to appearing on many other musicians’ albums, Slash has released four albums with Alter Bridge’s main singer, Myles Kennedy.
His most recent solo CD, Orgy of the Damned, honors some of the best blues compositions ever composed. Additionally, Brian Johnson of AC/DC and Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes make cameo appearances.
In addition, the rock star and his Guns teammates have reconciled and are currently one of the most well-liked live shows.
