In a video, German actor Eric Braeden stated that he had cancer and is currently undergoing immunotherapy.
The 82-year-old took part in a Facebook Live session at the tail end of last week and revealed that while recovering from knee replacement surgery, he had experienced prostate issues.
He was subsequently given a diagnosis by a physician after high-grade cancer cells were found close to his bladder.
The actor said, “I apologize for being so honest, but I think some older males who may or may not listen to this could benefit from this.”
Braeden, who received an Emmy for his performance as Victor Newman on the venerable CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, had prostate problems prior to receiving UroLift therapy.
He had surgery to remove the cancer cells once they were found, and then he started a six-week immunotherapy program.
The 82-year-old was open about his condition with his fans and encouraged them to support loved ones going through a similar circumstance.
According to Braeden, “I’ve learned to listen to my body more and not go all out.”
I’ve been feeling a little under the weather lately, in case you didn’t notice, but I’ll lick this. This moron will fail to capture me; I will. I’ll soon be working at my peak.
So, the actor said, that’s where I am at the moment. I like to act. I try to win over everyone. You are really valuable. Be there for a family member whenever they go through this. It could work out. Thanks to the incredible advancements in contemporary cancer therapy, you can survive cancer.
Since 1980, Braeden has regularly performed the same role on The Young and the Restless, and he is excited to return.
He continued, “I’m still glad I can go to work.”
It gives me vertigo. I like to act. My goal is to make people laugh. And sure, I do value your assistance. It is important.
All of us should send Eric Braeden good vibes for the future. I look forward to the day when every cancer patient will be cured.
