Before the new documentary about Michael J. Fox’s struggle with Parkinson’s illness was released, Meg Ryan made her first public appearance in six months.
Ryan, 61, apparently decided to pull back from the spotlight in recent years, and as a result, he hasn’t been seen in about six months.
According to the Daily Mirror, she went to see her pal Michael J. Fox’s next film, STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie, in order to show her support.
Fans were quick to comment on Ryan’s new appearance, which some referred to as “unrecognizable,” but the couple was seen together and appeared pleased.
Despite her prior denials, the Sleepless in Seattle star, who made her on-screen debut in Rich and Famous (1981), once again gave rise to suspicions that she may have experimented with plastic surgery due to her exceptionally clear skin.
Meg’s new appearance has drawn criticism from some, which rekindled a subject on which the actress has already spoken.
“This is Meg Ryan,” said a Twitter user. “Perhaps this will teach ladies something. Surgery with plastics is for Frankenstein.
Another said, “Meg Ryan spent thousands to make herself unrecognizable and hideous.”
“What has happened to Meg Ryan’s face?!” A third penned.
“Yikes,” said one.Ladies, simply say no to fillers and Botox. Take it from Madonna and Meg Ryan, not from me.
Ryan has previously said that she ignores those who have unfavorable remarks about the way she looks.
In a 2015 interview, she candidly addressed the accusations around plastic surgery with Porter Magazine.
She admitted at the time, “To be honest, I don’t pay much attention.” “Hatred is prevalent in today’s world. Judging is so simple. Imagine what a fool a hater would be.
On Michael J. Fox’s special night, the actress showed up for the previously stated screening in the Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, New York, and appeared to be in high spirits as she posed for photos with celebrities like Billy Murray and Elvis Costello.
A new documentary on Fox’s life in the thirty years following his diagnosis will be released. Fox recently said that he didn’t anticipate he would live to be eighty years old.
At the age of 29, the Back to the Future actor received the initial diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. He tried to conceal his illness at first, but he has since emerged as a key player in the movement for more awareness and investigation.
Fox recently gave a heartfelt interview in which he spoke up about his own death and said that his Parkinson’s disease was “getting tougher.”
“I won’t lie. The going gets tougher and tougher. It’s becoming more difficult, the former star remarked. “Every day becomes harder. However, that’s just the way things are. You know, who should I talk to about that?
He also mentioned that a growth on his spine necessitated recent spinal surgery. Despite being benign, it made it difficult for him to walk, and a tumble left him hurt.
“I shattered this elbow, this arm, and this arm as well. My face was broken. “I broke my hand,” said Fox.
Parkinson’s disease does not kill you. With Parkinson’s, you die. I’ve been considering how mortal it is. I won’t live to reach 80. I won’t live to be eighty.
