There is nothing more enjoyable than listening to family members discuss what the children learnt that day at school while seated at the dinner table. Of course, a child’s education is an essential part of their parenting.
Sadly, there won’t be another occasion like this for the Crustner family.
Payton Crustner, a little girl, had just completed posing for a picture to commemorate her first day of fourth grade when calamity struck with terrible results.
Prior to the start of her first day of fourth grade, Payton Crustner, who was nine years old at the time, was a lively little girl.
Her life was taken before she ever reached the classroom.
Payton left after being involved in a deadly vehicle accident. Just five minutes before to the crash, she was seen proudly standing with a placard, according to Houston KHOU TV.
According to the authorities, 18-year-old Marcus Wayne Dukes was traveling on the highway when he made a left turn and drifted into oncoming traffic.
He didn’t take long to strike Miranda Michelle Clark’s automobile, which was 32 years old. The three children traveling in Miranda’s backseat were Payton, age 9, her brother, age 16, and an unidentified 3-year-old.
Following the crash, Payton was thrown from the vehicle, according to KYTX TV station. She was found to be dead on the scene after suffering severe injuries.
Mirada appeared to have been wearing a seat belt while driving a car, however Payton was just wearing a lower belt that wasn’t strong enough to keep her attached.
Marcus Dukes, Payton’s sibling, and the unidentified 3-year-old were not wearing seat belts.
The accident victims were sent to the hospital right after, and Payton’s adolescent brother is now in a serious state.
Fortunately, the three further victims only suffered minor injuries and were able to leave the hospital.
Since then, a family member has started a Facebook fundraising effort, with all funds going toward paying for Payton’s funeral and her brother’s medical expenses. As of now, around $18,000 has been raised.
The post requests that you please keep this family in your thoughts. “Payton Lynn Crustner, 9, was taken from this world this morning, just before her first day of fourth grade.”
In these most hard times, our thoughts and prayers are with Payton’s family.
By sharing this story, I’m wanting to remind folks how important it is to buckle up. By this point, it may seem clear, yet some individuals still ignore it.
Never forget that the most important safety feature in a car might be the front and back seat belts.
Please help us disseminate this important news so that we can stop more children from dying.
