The 24-year-old Stephanie Dickson visited the doctor because she thought something wasn’t right. The doctor informed her it was stress-related headaches, sore throats, and dizziness, nothing major.
Nevertheless, Stephanie persisted and saw many physicians; regrettably, none of them were able to rescue her in time. When the agony got too much, she traveled to a respected hospital in Edinburgh, but the staff there simply kept her under observation for one night before sending her home with some medications.
Her relatives discovered her dead in bed a few hours later. An autopsy revealed that she had a tumor in the skull region that was pressing against her neck and causing excruciating discomfort. The medical report states that the woman may have survived if the physicians had discovered the issue at least the previous evening.
Although the terrible incident happened in 2013, Stephanie’s closest friend has now made the decision to raise awareness and finances for those who are facing similar challenges. She exhorts young ladies who believe there is a problem with their bodies to persevere.
Her passing left an imprint on all of us; words cannot describe the grief. Her buddy Laura commented, “That shouldn’t have happened.”
