Star of Beverly Hills 90210 Shannen Doherty (Brenda) revealed something terrible just before she passed away.

Just a few weeks before she passed away, Shannon Doherty, who portrayed Kimberly on Beverly Hills, 90210, expressed optimism about her prognosis from cancer.

After a nine-year battle with breast cancer, the 53-year-old star of Charmed departed this Saturday.

At the end of June, Doherty revealed on her Let’s Be Clear podcast that her cancer cells’ molecular makeup had just changed.

The announcement followed Doherty’s declaration that her disease had progressed to her brain and bones throughout the previous year.

The Charmed actress claimed, “There were a lot more protocols for her to try,” and she was feeling “hopeful.”

Doherty stated at the time that neither she nor her physicians could predict how long she would require chemotherapy in the months to come.

“It’s scary; it’s like a big wake up call,” the woman remarked.

The benefit of her cells changing, according to Doherty, is that she will have more therapy options.

“Now that there are so many more protocols, I feel hopeful for the first time in probably a few months,” she remarked.

“Before, I was optimistic, but I was still getting ready.”

Gone Too Soon
On Saturday, Doherty lost her protracted fight with breast cancer. The illness was initially identified in her in 2015.

Leslie Sloane, an employee of the actress Shannen Doherty, confirmed the actress’s passing to People with heavy heart.

“After battling cancer for many years, she lost her fight on Saturday, July 13.”

“She was surrounded by her devoted family, friends, sister, daughter, aunt, and dog, Bowie.”

Sloane stated, “The family requests their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”

Doherty reported in November that the cancer had progressed to her bones. Then she passed away.

She told People at the time, “I’m not done with living,” despite the horrible news.

“I cherish you even more now. I hope I’m not done altering things for the better. I’m still building things,” the actress remarked. “I’m simply not finished.”

THE DOHERTY BATTLE
Following treatment, the Hollywood actress entered remission in 2017. Nine years have passed since her initial cancer diagnosis.

However, Doherty claimed in 2019 that the cancer had returned. She verified that it was stage four breast cancer a year later.

In June 2023, she informed everyone that the cancer had progressed to her brain and that she had undergone brain surgery to remove the growth.

“When you ask yourself, ‘Why did my cancer come back?’ or ‘Why did I get hurt?,’ you are asking yourself why you are.” I’m in stage 4, but why? She said to the news source, “That makes you want to find the bigger point of life.”

She added that she had no fear of dying.

“If I weren’t a good person, I think I would be afraid of dying, but I am,” the woman remarked.

“I don’t want to die, like, ever. I’m not terrified of dying.”

HER LEGACY
Having appeared in Little House on the Prairie as a young actor, Doherty began his career in Hollywood. In the final season of the show, he appeared in four episodes.

She later appeared in an animated film called The Secret of NIMH and an episode of the television series Airwolf.

She portrayed Maggie Malene in the motion picture Girls Just Want to Have Fun in 1985.

Her big break came after just five years when she was cast in the popular TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 as Brenda Walsh.

After departing the program in 1994, she went on to star in films such as Heathers, Mallrats, and Christmas Caper, as well as the television series Charmed.

Let’s Be Clear is the name of the podcast she just launched and is her first.

On July 8, the most recent episode was released.
