A popular reality television star passed away unexpectedly at the age of 34.
Mexican beauty María Reneé Núñez rose to fame after winning the inaugural season of La Isla, or “The Island,” in 2012.
Amidst the abundance of tributes to the late actress, the cause for her death remains a mystery.
The news that her sister Alma had passed away startled many on social media.
María, the second child among four, was born in Hermosillo, Mexico.
She liked sports, notably volleyball, softball, and cycling, in addition to studying graphic design.
Her family said she enjoyed traveling to the beach to remain in shape and liked leading a healthy lifestyle.
María rose to fame after winning the TV show and the 100,000 peso prize money (£4,200).
She attempted to establish a career in entertainment and social media following her victory, but she hasn’t been active in the past several years.
Her most recent social media post, according to NeedToKnow, was a few of photos of her and her boyfriend Diego on April 28.
Numerous well-known Mexican performers have since started sharing condolences online.
One of her closest friends, model and TV broadcaster Tania Rincón, described her as “so unique, so creative, and so caring.”
She added, “I cherish all the happiness your antics brought me.”
On social media, the La Isla crew posted, “Everyone will remember her.”
The American program “Survivor” and the reality TV series “La Isla: El Reality,” which debuted in 2012, have the same concept.
A mixture of well-known individuals and common people are placed in far-off, exotic locations—typically tropical islands—and forced to make do with few supplies.
Teams compete in a number of physical and cerebral tasks on the program in an effort to collect rewards and continue competing in order to avoid being voted off.
At the end of every episode, someone is frequently removed, either because their friends voted for someone else or because they lost a crucial challenge.
The attractive relationships between the many candidates and the stunning, challenging environments are the main factors in the show’s appeal.
“La Isla” has gained notoriety over the course of its seasons for its intense rivalry, cunning gaming, and the drama that unfolds amongst the competitors.
