After disappearing from social media for a month, Tammy Slaton made a big comeback on September 27 with a ton of selfies. Even though each selfie featured a filter, fans instantly noted how much thinner her face and neck seemed as she continued her incredible weight loss journey.
One fan asked the 37-year-old in the comments whether she had any tips for others who were just starting their own weight reduction adventures. After undergoing bariatric surgery, the Sisters actress who weighed 1,000 pounds offered the following dietary advice that has helped her keep the weight off: “Eat proteins, low carbs, no sugars, no pop, and portion control.”
Fans are thrilled to see her continuing to lose weight and leading a much healthier lifestyle than she’s used to after her near-death incident at the conclusion of Season 3 that resulted in her being placed in a medically-induced coma, and many voiced their happiness in the comments section.
She reacted to two comments with two videos shortly after uploading her most recent selfies, one of which asked her to post a selfie without a filter and the other of which asked her to submit a picture without her glasses. She agreed and sweetly wished her fans a “good day, babe.”
After a one-month break, the movies and a collection of selfies were uploaded on social media. It was evident that she had dropped weight when she last posted on August 25 and included two pictures of herself in front of a mirror. She shared a gallery of pictures displaying her culinary ability a few days earlier (August 22).
“Even though I can’t eat much, that doesn’t mean my family shouldn’t eat well and I’m finally able to show off my cooking skills,” she said as the photo’s caption. Chef TT or Chef TamTam, please keep me calm. Her weight loss specialist, Dr. Eric Smith, says she might need to bring some of it so we can try it in the office.
Slaton has undoubtedly “wisened up” about her health over the past year, and she is already reaping the rewards. She told PEOPLE in May that although she still requires an oxygen machine at night, her lungs are now healthy enough that she no longer need a tracheostomy tube during the day.
A source previously revealed to The U.S. Sun that 1000-Lb Sisters will return for a fifth season. The insider adds that filming has already started and that the first episodes will air somewhere in the middle of December. That discovery has not yet been confirmed by Tammy Slaton or TLC, but it would be amazing if it were!
