The cherished actor Whitney Rydbeck, who appeared in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives in a brief but unforgettable role, passed away.
The 79-year-old Hollywood veteran starred in over 50 motion pictures and television programs.
Whitney’s prostate cancer-related issues led to her death.
The actor passed away in Chatsworth, California, while receiving hospice care.

Tommy McLoughlin, director of Jason Lives and a close friend of his, confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter.
His role as a paintball soldier in the terrifying sequel, when he attempted to shoot Jason Vorhees while donning a hockey mask, was well received by fans.
Along with discussing the actor’s life and legacy, McLoughlin shared an emotional Instagram message on Saturday.
“We lost one of the most kind-hearted people I’ve ever known, in addition to a genuinely funny comedian and actor,” he added.
“Very important bad news”
Following Whitney’s passing, fans posted melancholic remarks and recollections of him on screen.
“He greatly enhanced Jason Lives with his humorous act, panic, naivete, and lack of paintball skills.” Despite spending little more than a few minutes on TV, some people still associate this man with paintballing. What a tragic loss that is. “Gratitude,” a person wrote.
“Man, that’s terrible to hear. Jason Lives was witty and memorable, and he was fantastic,” another person remarked.

“With a tiny part, the man accomplished a lot.A third person wrote, “I hope you rest in peace.”
I hope you have a peaceful rest. “He stole the show!” was written by a fourth person.
“Wrote the part for him” is what it means.
Additionally, on Saturday, the director of Jason Lives posted a really touching statement on the horror movie website Bloody Disgusting.
“We are very sorry to announce that Whitney Rydbeck, a very gifted physical comedian and actor, passed away on Monday night.”
“He portrayed paintball player Roy, a dull businessman.” After over 40 years, his comic work continues to make audiences and fans chuckle.
Roy’s role in Jason Lives was specifically written for him because I was aware of his skill. We also become close friends throughout the past few decades.
“He is the most kind and caring person I have ever met,” the speaker said. Seeing him battle cancer for the past ninety-five months has been difficult.

“A year ago, he performed on stage with nearly the entire cast of Jason Lives at a sold-out American Cinematique screening.” Despite his illness, his antics and stories made his fans chuckle.
