Everything froze when Princess Diana was killed on August 31, 1997, in a horrific vehicle accident.
That awful night is made even worse by Diana’s final remarks. We are aware of this.
When Princess Diana passed away, what did she say?
A firefighter who was there at the scene of Princess Diana’s death told The Sun what she said her final words before passing away.
Xavier Gourmelon believed he had saved her life when he performed CPR on her immediately following her tragic vehicle accident in Paris.
When he rescued the princess from the wreckage, she was conscious and awake; nevertheless, she fainted during the delicate placement of her on a stretcher.
“Her eyes were open and she was awake when I got there,” he said to the Sun. Before they got out of the car, he comforted her and held her hand.
“What the heck happened, God?” Diana requested him in what were rumored to be her final words.
“I stroked her heart, and she started breathing again in a few seconds,” the firefighter added.
As a first responder, I naturally felt better because I wanted to save lives.
“To tell the truth, I assumed she would survive.”
“I assumed she would live because I believed she was still alive when she was in the ambulance.”
“However, I discovered that she had passed away in the hospital after the fact.” It was really stressful.
Gourmelon didn’t find out the victim’s identity until Diana was in an ambulance, according to another paramedic.
“I was astonished,” he remarked. Although I don’t pay much attention to British aristocracy, I was aware of who she was.
“I recognized her when I went to the ambulance and looked inside.”
When did Princess Diana pass away?
Just before midnight on August 31, 1997, Princess Diana passed away from injuries she sustained in a vehicle accident.
She was 36 years old when she passed away.
Her driver, Henri Paul, drove nearly twice the speed limit while intoxicated while traveling through the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris.
Diana, her boyfriend Dodi Fayed, and Trevor Rees-Jones, their bodyguard, were traveling in a car when it lost control and struck the tunnel wall.
Paul and Fayed were immediately killed.
Diana was still alive when the rescue services got there, but at 4:53 in the morning, her injuries had already taken her life.
According to United Press International, the initial reports stated that she suffered a cut on her thigh, a broken arm, and a head injury.
She also had severe wounds on her chest.
Prince William, 15, and Prince Harry, 12, are the two sons that the Princess left behind.
Despite being the only survivor of the collision and the only passenger to use a seat belt, Trevor suffered severe injuries.
Where is the resting place of Princess Diana?
On September 6, 1997, a public funeral was held before the burial.
Princess Diana is buried on the grounds of Althorp Park, where she lived with her family.
She is rumored to have been buried in the center of The Oval Lake.
Within the memorial temple is a black-and-white marble statue of Diana with her name etched across the top.
Additionally, Princess Diana’s words, “Try to help the weakest people in society,” are printed on it. I couldn’t be happier than that. It’s a major aspect of my life and a goal.
Something akin to destiny. You can phone me if you’re having problems. No matter where they are, I’ll chase after them.
Originally, the Princess was supposed to be buried at the Great Brington church, which is close by.
The Spencer Family Vault contains the graves of Diana’s father as well as other Spencer family members.
Later on, the family had second thoughts because they were concerned about her grave’s security.
Although Diana’s tomb is private, visitors can pay their condolences at the memorial located at the Althorp Estate.
