It must be a male, therefore, who is running late.
Researchers on Facebook have discovered an odd-looking man using what looks to be far more advanced technology than was suitable for the period in a black-and-white 1940s photograph.
The story reportedly starts in Reykjavik, Iceland, in 1943, when an odd person is noticed near American soldiers who had been stationed there during World War II.
However, this person is not clad in army fatigues. Instead, he stands out since he is wearing a light trench coat and is holding his hand near to his ear like a person using a telephone right now.
Social media users weighed in quickly and said that the man must be a time traveler.
In 2016, user Kristjan Hoffmann posted the picture to the Icelandic Facebook page Gamlar ljósmyndir with the caption: “One thing that draws attention to this beautiful picture is that above the window, in the corner of the picture, a man is leaning and is on a cellphone,” according to the source.
I’m speechless; I don’t think he’s simply chatting on the phone… He is standing by himself, wearing a different headdress from the rest, and acting like we would act today, Hoffmann continued.
Another commenter, Karolina Petursdottir, allegedly even made a comparison to “Dr. Who,” per the Mirror.
In addition to the niche vintage photo club, the picture was featured in the conspiracy theory YouTube film “10 REAL Cases of Time Travel That Cannot Be Explained.”
Surprisingly, none of the parties involved suggested that it was possible the man was a stooge for the Axis forces.
Instead, members of the Facebook community who held more reasonable beliefs said that he had only been making sure his watch was working.
Others said he was simply puffing on a pipe and had walked away to scratch his ear.
