HEART SINNED Jessika Power, who featured on At First Sight and now married, revealed that her father passed away.
The Australian reality personality announced the tragic news on Instagram today.
She commented, “…doesn’t feel real,” beside a photo of herself and her deceased father. Dad, you are loved. I hope you’re up there enjoying a port with your pals and staring down at those of us who will miss you forever.
The Mafia favorite had grown distant from her mother years ago and was closer to her father, Troy, than to either of them.
After a protracted breakup, Troy and Jessika, an ex-boxer, reconnected and grew close once more six years before Jessika joined Mafs in 2019.
He attended her TV wedding to Mick Gould and even threatened to punch the groom for his indecent remark made during the reception by his best man.
Jessika previously discussed her difficult upbringing on the Lads Dads And Couple Of Beers Podcast.
Jessika remarked, “My mother has sold stories about me, and my best friends have sold stories about me.”
“My mother decided four years ago that we were really close and sold stories that were completely fabricated and false,” the mother said. “I haven’t had a relationship with her in about seven years.”
The moment Jessika was betrayed was one of the darkest moments of her life.
“My mother lying to me was the worst thing I’ve ever experienced,” she remarked.
I recall sobbing all the way to the ground and asking myself, “How could she do this to me?”
“I hadn’t discussed my mother, mentioned her in the media, or discussed anything else. In addition, I consistently declined interviews concerning her.
“The narrative essentially denigrated me as a brat, implying that I wasn’t the young person she raised.”
Jessika discussed how her upbringing was unique compared to that of other young people her age.
“My mother sold the story because she needed money; she had a drug addiction from a very young age,” the woman claimed.
She mentioned that she would have been happier with my ex-husband. She added, “My entire plastic surgery was disgusting.”
“At that moment, I felt so defeated—despite the fact that we are not in a relationship and lack mutual respect, the last vestige of respect I held for you had vanished.”
She answered, “I was just sad.”If a thousand Australians despise me when I wake up in the morning, it doesn’t bother me.
However, you haven’t spoken to your mother in a while when it comes to this.
“I sacrificed my childhood to care for my mother during her drug addiction. She was a terrible person at life, therefore I raised my brothers and mother.”
“It really hurt me when I gave up my childhood for somebody and never asked for anything back.”
