The entire world is perilous. There is no way of knowing what could happen to you or your children when you leave the comforts of home. Since Adam and Eve, this has been the situation and will remain the situation until the second coming of Jesus.
We don’t live in isolation, which is wonderful news.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that “human life is surrounded by [angels] and their watchful care and intercession from its beginning until death” (CCC 336). God assigns a guardian angel to everyone of us whose job it is to lead, watch over, and shield us. Even though we don’t always feel or see them, they are constantly around and ready to help us if we need them.
We only need to inquire.
It is simple for parents to forget that their kids have guardian angels and that we may pray to them and request their mighty protection over our kids via the mediation of our own guardian angel. It is most acceptable to pray to our children’s guardian angel when we are unable to be present to protect them physically.
Here is a little prayer that is typically labeled, “A Mother’s Prayer to the Guardian Angels of Her Children,” and that might help us calm our hearts and find peace in the knowledge that our children are in good hands.
O you devoted, heavenly friends of my children, I humbly salute you! I sincerely appreciate all the kindness and love you offer them. When the time comes, I will return your care for them and acknowledge their debt to your direction and protection in front of the entire celestial court with gratitude that beyond anything I can currently provide. Keep an eye out for them. satiate all of their physical and spiritual requirements. Please also pray for myself, my husband, and our entire family so that we can all one day celebrate in your beautiful presence. Amen.
