Adopting and finding a permanent family is a wonderful experience on its own, but including Disney princesses into the process makes it much more magical.
Everyone in the courtroom in Grand Rapids, Michigan was surprised when they saw seven princesses and Prince Charming appear last week to support Danielle, a five-year-old princess who was adopted by Jim and Sarah Koning.

Caseworkers dressed as magical beings with wands and crowns for the hearing, which was certainly fitting for a royal figure. Even the judge participated in the enjoyment, wearing a garment with a princess motif under her robe to remember the event.
Mom Sarah Koning expressed the family’s happiness in finally completing the adoption process, and Danielle’s unexpected princess surprise made the day even more memorable.
“It was something we had been anticipating for a long time, so it was already a great day, but it was even better,” Koning told TODAY. “The presence of the princesses enhanced her experience, and it’s something she will always remember, understanding that we care for her and she is in the right place.”
The princesses congratulated Danielle on her new permanent family and celebrated the adoption during the hearing.
“Due to the controversial adoption, it was a lengthy journey,” she noted.

However, the Konings’ important day arrived, and Kristina Grey, a foster care case manager at the Samaritas organization who collaborated with Danielle, came up with the princess theme.
Grey said that she knew of Danielle’s worries about her future. “Stability had been a concern for her,” she clarified. “She desired to discover her identity and her place in the world.”
Grey said, “At that moment, I realized that I had to make her adoption day a truly memorable experience for her.”
Koning is thankful for such a unique day.

“I was completely surprised,” she said. “It was amazing to see it happen and to realize how memorable it will be for Danielle.”
“We simply feel fortunate to have these two children and care for them, educate them, and cherish them,” Koning added.
I’m uncertain about anything else that might bring a grin to your face or fill your heart with warmth more than this. Please share to help spread happiness and show that there are good people in the world.
