German actor Eric Braeden stated in a video that he has cancer and is presently receiving immunotherapy.
The 82-year-old participated in a Facebook Live session at the end of last week and shared that during his recovery following knee replacement surgery, he had encountered prostate problems.
After discovering high-grade cancer cells near his bladder, a specialist subsequently provided him with a diagnosis.
The actor remarked that he believed this information may be helpful for older individuals who may or may not pay attention to it.
Braeden, who received an Emmy for playing Victor Newman on the long-running CBS serial opera The Young and the Restless, experienced prostate issues before undergoing UroLift treatment.
He had an operation to eliminate the cancer cells once they were discovered, and then he began a six-week immunotherapy treatment.
The 82-year-old was truthful about his condition with his fans and encouraged them to help loved ones going through a similar situation.
Braeden mentioned, “I have become more attentive to my body and avoid pushing myself too hard.”
