According to her relatives, Connie Chiume, who portrayed Black Panther, has away at the age of 72.
The well-known South African actress passed away on Tuesday afternoon in a hospital in Johannesburg.
Chiume’s son Nongelo claims that prior to her passing away, his mother was admitted to the hospital for a “medical procedure.”
This South African actress appeared in numerous TV series, such as Gomora, Zone 14, and Rhythm City.
In the 2018 film Black Panther, Chiume portrayed Wakandan Tribal Council politician Zawavari.
In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, she played the title role of the film and rose to become the Elder Statesman of Wakanda.
Families have requested privacy at this time and have promised to provide additional details later.
Chiume stated that she wanted people to remember her whatever they saw fit on the MacG Podcast in 2022.

Chiume was born in the Free State province of Welkom to a Zulu mother and a Malawian father.
She reportedly attended nursing school but chose to become a teacher before rising to fame as an actress.
The celebrity regrettably leaves two boys and two daughters behind.
