A 9-year-old girl and her infant brother perished in a horrific Easter vehicle accident. Then, her parents discovered a letter she had written to herself.
Brooklynn Newville scribbled her final wishes on paper before she passed away. These included seeing an ice bar in Alaska, witnessing a moose, and leaping over a rock into a swimming hole.
However, the five-year-old brother Jace and the nine-year-old daughter perished. Her parents discovered her list of desires months after her death, and she never got to do anything on it.

In 2017, Linda Irie, 50, was traveling with her three grandchildren—Jace, 5, Brooklynn, 9, Newville; and Isabella Anthony, 6, who was the grandchildren’s cousin—on the Turner Turnpike close to Wellston, Oklahoma. A young lamb was supposed to be acquired for Easter photos.
According to local news, the Norman family was struck from behind by a 17-year-old motorist, which caused Irie’s automobile to collide with two other vehicles. The driver may have been reading a text message at the time of the collision, according to information provided to the family.

The only one who survived was Isabella. The other three were declared dead at the spot by the police.
Brian Newville, the father of Brooklynn and Jace, remarked, “We’ve had to move a few times, and now I can’t really walk into the house and see where the kids used to be.”
Their mother Shaneé posted a heartfelt message on Facebook that said, “Being alive is hard.” She is not with Brian anymore. I weep the moment I wake up. I weep every time I take a shower. I weep every time I put on makeup. “The people who loved me the most are gone,” the photographer adds. Her mom perished in the collision as well. It appears that God traveled with Mima. It is untrue; they will never return.
A wish list
When Brooklynn’s parents were organizing her room after several months, they discovered something that partially relieved their excruciating suffering.
Before she passed away, Brooklynn jotted out a lengthy list of things she want to see or accomplish.
Scuba diving, witnessing a moose, owning a drone, visiting an ice bar in Alaska, and visiting the Golden Gate Bridge are all on the girl’s extensive bucket list.

Brian cries, “She always wanted to go hunting with me.” “Never got the opportunity.”
No matter how long it takes, Brookie’s parents promised to fulfill all of her desires at the moment. No recent social media posts have mentioned them crossing items off her bucket list.

In 2018, Durango, Colorado resident Noah DeDear faced three charges of manslaughter after he was identified as the cause of the collision that claimed the lives of Irie and her two grandsons.
DeDear would have turned eighteen in a few days at the time of the crash. Now, an adult trial is being held for him.
DeDear acknowledged sending a text message shortly before the collision, but he denied reading two texts from his girlfriend and grandma, according to the police report.

In 2019, Brian expressed his frustration to News 4 about the court system’s delays, saying, “This doesn’t make any sense.” How come a person can murder three innocent people, a grandma, two children, and themselves, and get away with it? The family is suffering, they want closure, but we are unable to provide it.

The family announced on Facebook in February 2021 that the jury selection procedure had finally started.
“Put it down.”
The parents are begging everyone to put down their phones at the same moment.

“Put it Down” is the name of our campaign, which Bryan claims aims to convince people to put down their phones. “Set it down so you can drive.” Whether it’s food or your phone, it makes no difference.”
