Melbourne resident Sian Scale, 28, passed away last week following a protracted fight with an incurable uncommon type of cancer.
Sian was receiving treatment at the Peter McCallum Center, which is located in Melbourne’s core business sector.
She worked with major fashion brands including Chanel, Burberry, and Marc Jacobs after signing with the renowned Australian modeling agency Chadwick.
“She was determined and strong, and she had such grace in navigating the hardest year of her life with such acceptance, optimism, and vulnerability,” her family said in a statement.
Additionally, they added that Sian had never grumbled or questioned, “Why me?” and that she was “extremely generous, loving, kind, fun, adventurous, and modest.”
Mansfield, which is around 124 miles northeast of Melbourne, is where she was raised.
Those who knew her stated she was comfortable in both rural and urban settings. They recalled taking her to the Melbourne Fashion Festival just after returning from a camping vacation.
“She was always up for trying new things and doing things her own way,” the family stated in their letter.
“Sian gained a reputation for being kind and laid back very rapidly. In her own country, she was a model to follow because of her genuine beauty and compassionate spirit.
Sian has modeled all around the world and appeared in publications including Vanity Fair and Vogue.
In a statement, Chadwick said, “We announce the death of our beloved model Sian Scale with great sadness and heavy hearts.”
“Sian was a special and brilliant light in our world who always followed her moral convictions.”
“Words cannot express how much we shall all miss her. Her beautiful photos will live on in perpetuity.
Sian stated that she wished for blood donations on her behalf.
“If anyone wishes to do something in my honor, please donate blood,” she declared. It is life’s greatest gift.
People have praised the model on social media. “It’s really sad to hear this news today,” commented one individual.
“Sian had a radiant inner and exterior.” Love and blessings to her family and friends.
Still another person remarked, “Sian was a joy to be around.” We offer our condolences to her friends, family, and the fashion industry. “Dear angel, may you rest in peace.”
