Respecting His Memory Meghan Markle pays a tragic homage to her “beloved friend” who passed away unexpectedly as she launches a new charitable initiative.
When Meghan Markle inaugurated a new wing at an animal charity in London, she talked about her “beloved” friend and dog trainer, Oli Juste.
The Duchess of Sussex sent the animal behaviorist a special video greeting in observance of his name being bestowed to a new rescue wing.
At the Wednesday launch of the Oli Juste Wing at Mayhew’s facility in north London, the duchess’ audio was played for attendees. Actors Beatie Edney, Laura Aikman, Rula Lenska, and Nigel Harman were among the guests.
The new, renovated kennels were made possible by Oli’s untimely death in January 2022. Mayhew added that his “dear friend” Meghan will assist preserve Oli’s legacy with her “generous” gift through the Archewell Foundation.
In her letter, the duchess expressed her gratitude to the amazing staff at Mayhew for their tireless efforts in realizing her goal.
“It was crucial to pay tribute to Oli in a way that would have pleased him.”
“Mayhew is a shining example of what can be accomplished when we work together and a beacon of hope for those in need.”
“They shared many things throughout their friendship, among them a deep commitment to animal welfare and a love of rescue dogs,” reads the description of Meghan and Oli’s connection on sussex.com.
The statement said, “The Oli Juste Wing will improve the lives of countless animals and serve as a reminder to us all of the power of compassion, connection, and care.” It was a monument to his everlasting love and devotion to our furry companions.
The duchess has taken in other rescued dogs over the years, including Guy, a beagle, and Pula, a black Labrador.
Guy was taken care of by Oli and his fiancé Rob following his injury, while Meghan relocated to the UK.
Meghan was “heartbroken” at Oli’s passing in 2022.
Prince Harry and Meghan, according to Lady Colin Campbell, were “stealing” the Sussex name for their own gain prior to this.
The former “I’m a Celebrity” participant has placed herself in a prime position to run into the couple following the launch of their new website.
They launched sussex.com last week using their Sussex titles, which has been referred to as “a betrayal” of their Megxit deal.
There were already issues between Harry and Meghan and other family members before they left their royal responsibilities in 2020.
It appears that they renamed their Archewell website, which now directs you to their updated one.
