Jamie Lee Curtis won’t feel down because of her present post-Oscars high. On the Today show in March, the Everything Everywhere All At Once star discussed her significant achievement and what it’s been like to earn a prestigious Academy Award.
She also talked about the terminology she would choose while describing the monument.
According to Curtis, everyone wants to be recognized and appreciated for their job. “No matter what you do, you want someone to respect you. And this is a truly sweet, sparkling expression of gratitude.
Everything Everywhere All at Once’s 64-year-old lead actress won her first Academy Award for the part. Curtis said, “My mother and father were both Oscar candidates in various categories. “I received an Oscar!”

She thanked her family and all of the people who have backed her “genre flicks” since she began her career in 1977 in a heartfelt acceptance speech. On the Today show on March 14, Curtis appeared electronically with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie. There, she acknowledged that she was still in shock.
I never in a million years believed I would have these few days, and I’m pretty affected by the entire affair, the speaker said.
When Curtis was questioned if she had identified the person, she gave a very good justification.

In honor of her 26-year-old daughter Ruby (Curtis announced her youngest child was transgender in 2021) she would refer to her Oscar statuette as they/them.
According to the actor, “I’m having them be a they/them in support of my daughter Ruby.” Since they are doing so well, I’ll just use the pronoun “them.”
They are now at home.
Uncomfortable confession
A young person coming out as trans has a steep learning curve, according to Jamie Lee.
As she put it, “It’s speaking a new language. It entails learning new words and terminology. I simply got going. I don’t claim to be an authority on the topic. I’ll make a mess of it.

“I’ll make a mistake. I’d like to try to avoid making any major mistakes,” she continued.
“You still make mistakes, and I did today as well. We are all human.
But if just one person reads it, sees a picture of Ruby and I, and says, “I feel free to say this is who I am,” then it was worthwhile.
Ruby, a member of a famous Hollywood family who now works as a video editor for a YouTube gamer, has never been in the spotlight.
‘I knew Ruby had a boyfriend,’ I said. Ruby had said “bi,” and I was aware of it. The two-time Golden Globe winner thinks that sexual orientation and gender identity are two different concepts.
Jamie, my! We’re pleased that you were ultimately successful. It was long overdue and much deserved.
