Nicolas Cage will always have admiration for the late artist despite the fact that he and Lisa Marie Presley divorced in 2002. Soon after it was revealed on January 12 that Presley had died at the age of 54 after suffering a cardiac arrest, the actor apparently paid respect to Presley in a statement that was sent by his manager.
“This information is tragic. According to a passage in the touching statement acquired by CNN, Lisa had the best laugh of anyone I’ve ever met. She was the star that shone the brightest, and her passing has left me dumbfounded.
Cage continued after it, too. The actor also alluded to Presley’s late son Benjamin Keough, who took his own life in the year 2020. This added a great deal of tragedy to the message that Cage was trying to convey. It’s logical to believe that Benjamin has happy memories of Cage when he was a boy because he wasn’t nearly a teenager when he married Presley, which makes the remainder of his comment all the worse. When Cage married Presley, Ben wasn’t even a teenager yet.
Nicolas Cage said the following regarding Lisa Marie Presley’s kid in the second round of his interview with CNN: “I find some peace that she is reunited with her son Benjamin.” Everyone was aware of Presley’s love for her one and only child, and they all seemed to understand how devastated she was when he passed away.
In May 2022, she said on Instagram, “Navigating through this awful anguish that totally wrecked and broke my heart and my soul into virtually nothing has devoured me whole.” These days, aside from my other three children, not much else catches my time or interest. Riley Keough and her identical twin sisters, Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, were also born to Presley.
Presley asserted that she and Cage kept in touch after their relationship ended even though they were no longer together in a 2003 interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.
She added that Cage’s individuality was one of the factors that drew her to him. I appreciate it when someone shakes things up, she continued.I’m not sure why that is. Why did you hurt me specifically? Nevertheless, I can’t help but be drawn to these things. There is no disputing that, despite the challenges, they enjoyed a close bond.
